Cheerio, pip-pip, and all that rot, eh wot guvnah?

The Celtics' tour of Europe continues this afternoon, with a stopover in London against the (suddenly familiar) Minnesota Timberwolves ... There will be a lot of plotlines to follow in this exhibition game:

  • Will Ray Allen bounce back from a subpar shooting performance (10 PTS, 4-13 FG, 1-7 3PTers) in his Celtics debut?
  • Will Al Jefferson and Gerald Green (among others) be determined to stick it to their former employers, even if this is just a preseason game?
  • Will I actually be able to put up a timely game recap (seeing as how my afternoon will be tied up with, y'know, being at work and all)?
Stay tuned!

UPDATE: Apparently, some of the ex-Celtics might have to wait awhile (startribune.com) before sticking it to their former employers ...

Three of the five players acquired from Boston in July for Kevin Garnett nursed ankle injuries Tuesday in London, and all three -- Al Jefferson, Gerald Green and Sebastian Telfair -- are considered questionable for today's exhibition game against their former team.

Jefferson and Green both landed wrong on an ankle during Tuesday's practice at the fancy, new O2 Arena. Telfair hurt an ankle in practice Monday.
